Tax Preparer/Bookkeeper

Tax Preparer/Accountant opporutnity in Hillsdale, MI. This role includes a mix of accounting, tax, and essential bookkeeping duties for multiple clients.  Pay based on experience.

Tax Preparer/Bookkeeper Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $25.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm )

• Year-Round (Non-Tax Season): Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Tax Season: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Saturday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
• Management of multiple client accounts. Bookkeeping and reconciliations.
• Input & generate monthly financial statements for business clients.
• Prepare Financial Statements for Business Clients.
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable (invoicing and bill payment).
• Prepare and file tax documents, such as income tax returns.
• Prepare and file Sales Tax Returns.
• Payroll processing and knowledge.
• Provide support to clients in the case of an IRS audit.

Tax Preparer/Bookkeeper Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience as a Tax Preparer and Bookkeeper.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Thomson Reuter Software Products.
• Demonstrates organizational, problem-solving, project management, and time management skills.

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
