Job Description

Salary: $110,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We require 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software language.
• We require 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• We require experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering manager.
• We prefer 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.

• We lead the technical strategy and full-stack delivery of enterprise device experiences for Alexa Smart Properties.
• We own team-level architecture and provide system-wide design guidance across device-native apps, cloud services, WebView integrations, and web applications.
• We drive cross-team technical initiatives to deliver end-to-end enterprise screen and conversational experiences.
• We set the technical roadmap and make trade-offs between immediate customer delivery and long-term platform extensibility.
• We design and implement critical path code across the stack while reviewing and guiding team solutions.
• We influence partner team priorities by defining our enterprise requirements and aligning on API changes, device OS features, release timing, and performance improvements.
• We own operational excellence, including metrics, alarms, incident response, and broader reliability improvements.
• We establish technical standards for cross-OS compatibility, offline capabilities, cloud-to-device communication, accessibility, and visual interaction best practices.
• We mentor engineers, strengthen technical quality through design and code reviews, and help teammates take ownership independently.
• We translate ambiguous customer needs into concrete technical solutions.
