Ungrafted Restaurant is a restaurant with a serious wine program in the Dogpatch, SF. We are seeking a sommelier/server, someone who doesn’t just talk wine, but makes people feel warm and welcome, runs food, busses tables and works hard.
Ungrafted is a great place to learn the steps of service and also learn to work quickly. It’s a fun environment, with great guests who travel a lot and already know a great deal about food and wine. Our guests do expect a high level of service, despite a more casual environment. This is a job for people who like multi-tasking.
We are on the hunt for a very specific type of person---fun, friendly, weird, a multitasker, a wine/beer/sake/sherry lover, and a strong conversationalist. Our regulars come in multiple times a week and they like to get to know the staff. We we are looking for someone who fits in with our staff and adds to the existing Ungrafted culture.
You do not have to be a certified sommelier to apply but you need to have restaurant experience AND an equivalent amount of wine knowledge.
