Étoile Academy Charter School, an independent K-8th grade charter school in Houston, is seeking an ambitious, smart, and high-capacity individual to join our team as our after school social worker.
After School Social Worker
The after school social worker supports the social, emotional, behavior and academic growth of students. They recognize and address any social, emotional, and behavioral concerns that may get in the way of a student's academic progress. This position furthers the mission of Etoile Academy because it helps ensure that all students have a safe environment to learn during our after school programming.
Responsibilities: The After School Social Worker will promote student success, provide preventative services, and respond to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive developmental school mental health program that seeks to meet the needs of the whole student. The After School Social Worker will seek to develop and facilitate programming that effectively removes barriers to learning and equip students with the necessary tools needed to navigate their educational experience and beyond.
Etoile Academy Student Support Services exists to prevent, respond to, and minimize the barriers to learning that students may experience. The After School Social Worker is responsible for developing, coordinating, and facilitating comprehensive mental health programming for after school. This may include providing direct support to students, coordinating resources for families, coordinating data-driven interventions and programming, and facilitating professional development for staff and parents. This position furthers the mission of Etoile Academy as it helps ensure that all students have the tools they need to learn.
