Senior Web, Digital, & Print Designer (HTML/CSS)
SALARY: $100,000K-$105,000K/annually

JOB SUMMARY: Aztec Software is seeking a Senior Web, Digital & Print Designer (HTML/CSS) who is a design‑first graphic designer with strong front‑end HTML and CSS skills to work within an enterprise CMS and corporate website environment. This is not a software engineering, front‑end engineering, or full‑stack development role.  The ideal candidate is extremely comfortable writing HTML and CSS, building structured templates within an enterprise CMS, and creating responsive, conversion-focused layouts from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Website Design & CMS

• Design and build new landing pages focused on lead gen and campaign performance.
• Expand and enhance existing corporate websites with new sections, content modules, and templates.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs aligned with brand standards.
• Optimize page layouts for conversion, usability, and engagement.
• Implement performance improvements where needed.

• Build and maintain custom templates within an enterprise CMS.
• Write clean, semantic HTML5 and well-structured CSS3.
• Develop fully responsive layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility (WCAG standards).
• Apply technical SEO best practices including semantic structure, heading hierarchy, metadata, schema basics, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with backend developers, IT and Martech to integrate APIs and services when required.

Digital & Print Design

• Design brochures, flyers, sales collateral, trade show materials, and branded assets.
• Develop executive and sales PowerPoint presentations.
• Produce print-ready files with proper production specifications.
• Create digital marketing assets including banners, landing page graphics, and campaign visuals.

Email Marketing & Campaign Support

• Design and build responsive email templates and campaigns.
• Ensure cross-client compatibility and mobile optimization.
• Support marketing automation and campaign initiatives.
• HubSpot experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or Digital Design or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Several years of in-house B2B experience in graphic design, web design, and CMS management combined.
• Demonstrated experience building templates and pages within a CMS environment.
• Online portfolio required, showcasing responsive web builds and professional marketing design work (web, print, email) for B2B companies.
• Video design and production experience.

Technical Expertise

• Advanced proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3
• Strong responsive design experience
• Working knowledge of basic JavaScript
• Experience with enterprise CMS platforms
• Technical SEO fundamentals
• Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Advanced PowerPoint design skills
• Experience with email marketing platforms (HubSpot preferred)
• Figma or Sketch
• Git and browser developer tools

• Ability to scale brand systems across multiple websites
• High attention to detail in both design and code

• Experience supporting multiple business units
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required, along with relevant organizational management certifications.

This position is NOT a fit if

• Your background is primarily in software engineering, full‑stack development, or backend/front‑end engineering.
• You identify as a developer first and designer second.
• Your web experience centers on frameworks, application logic, or complex JavaScript rather than layout, typography, and visual design.
• You rely on WordPress themes, page builders, or drag‑and‑drop tools instead of hand‑coding HTML and CSS for custom layouts.
