Job Description

Salary: $140,000 - 170,000 per year Requirements:

• Over 10 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field with relevant software design and development expertise
• Proficiency in programming with C/C++
• Familiarity with various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile)
• Knowledge of software configuration management tools (e.g., Git)
• Strong grasp of software engineering principles, focusing on robust, efficient, scalable, and maintainable applications
• Practical experience in advanced mathematical modeling, programming, and simulation tools, particularly for compliance with FAA/EASA standards
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills within cross-functional project teams
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure, showcasing sound judgment in decision-making
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Eligibility to obtain a government security clearance; active clearance is a plus

• Engage in software development using C/C++ and other required programming languages
• Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing software
• Propose and recommend enhancements and solutions for design and development challenges
• Create system and subsystem documentation
• Ensure project deadlines are consistently met
• Analyze customer needs and design software solutions aligned with both client requirements and company goals
• Transform provided documentation into state machines, empirical models, and simulations for aircraft behavior
• Design and integrate application programming interfaces within the complete solution environment
• Follow design specifications and company standards during software implementation
• Generate and revise design documents and master feature lists
• Estimate development work accurately in relation to time and budget constraints
• Apply quality assurance standards throughout the entire development lifecycle
• Troubleshoot software issues creatively
• Conduct testing and debugging of own and others work to optimize the quality control process
• Lead the flight simulator validation and qualification process
