Responsibilities

• Enter and update customer and company data into internal databases and spreadsheets
• Verify accuracy of information by comparing it to source documents
• Correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods
• Generate reports, store completed work in designated files and folders
• Respond to requests for information from authorized staff members
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and customer information
• Sort and organize digital files and physical documents as needed
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
• Communicate with team members to resolve discrepancies in records
• Meet daily and weekly data entry productivity targets

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar role preferred but not required
• Fast and accurate typing skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Familiarity with administrative and clerical procedures
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
