We are seeking an experienced, field-driven, and highly organized General Foreman to lead electrical construction operations across large-scale data center and mission critical projects. This role is responsible for driving field execution, manpower coordination, production performance, safety compliance, and overall crew leadership within assigned project areas.
As a General Foreman, you will serve as a key leader onsite, acting as the bridge between field crews, Superintendents, Project Management, QA/QC, Safety, and other trades. You will be responsible for ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules, company standards, and client expectations.
This role requires a strong understanding of electrical construction operations, leadership of multiple crews and Foremen, and the ability to maintain productivity in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Lead and manage crews and Foremen across assigned project areas. Establish clear expectations for productivity, safety, quality, attendance, and professionalism while promoting accountability and teamwork throughout the field organization.
Drive daily and weekly production goals in alignment with project schedules and milestones. Coordinate manpower, material availability, tools, and equipment to ensure crews maintain workflow continuity and minimize downtime.
Champion Vanguard’s safety culture by ensuring all crews follow company policies, site-specific safety procedures, LOTO requirements, and OSHA standards. Partner closely with Safety personnel to proactively address hazards, correct unsafe behaviors, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Work collaboratively with Superintendents, Project Managers, QA/QC, Safety, and other trade partners to resolve field conflicts, coordinate installations, and maintain project momentum. Participate in planning meetings and daily coordination discussions.
Manage manpower allocation across project areas based on schedule priorities and production demands. Assist with workforce planning, crew development, mentoring, and identifying future Foreman and leadership talent within the field teams.
Coordinate with Project Management, Procurement, and warehouse/logistics teams to ensure materials, equipment, and tools are available ahead of scheduled work activities. Monitor material usage and communicate shortages or delays proactively.
Ensure all installations meet issued-for-construction drawings, project specifications, code requirements, and Vanguard quality standards. Support QA/QC processes by addressing deficiencies quickly and ensuring crews maintain high-quality workmanship.
Provide accurate daily updates regarding manpower, production progress, delays, material needs, and field issues. Maintain strong communication with leadership regarding schedule impacts, staffing concerns, and project risks.
Take ownership of resolving field issues in real time while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Make sound decisions that support project success, crew efficiency, and operational excellence.
Lead by example and uphold Vanguard’s core values through professionalism, accountability, communication, and commitment to organizational health. Foster a positive jobsite culture focused on teamwork, growth, and execution.
