Job Description

Entry-Level Project Manager

Are you early in your career with hands-on construction experience and looking to grow into a Project Management role? Our client, a well-established mechanical construction company in the Buffalo area, is seeking an Entry-Level Project Manager to join their team.

This full-time, on-site position offers $50,000–$55,000 annually and is ideal for someone with a few years of real-world construction experience who is ready to take the next step into project coordination and management. This role is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to learn the full lifecycle of mechanical construction projects.

You’ll gain exposure to both the field and office sides of the business—supporting project execution, working alongside experienced Project Managers, and developing the skills needed to eventually manage projects independently.

This is an in-person, onsite position in Buffalo, NY

Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Administration

  • Assist with preparing bids, proposals, estimates, and supporting documentation
  • Maintain organized project files, schedules, and tracking systems
  • Support Project Managers with timelines, documentation, and change orders
  • Review project specifications to ensure clear understanding of scope and requirements

Field Exposure & Project Support

  • Visit job sites to observe mechanical construction and project progress
  • Work alongside field teams to ensure alignment between plans and execution
  • Gain hands-on exposure to materials, equipment, and construction processes

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

  • Assist with sourcing pricing and verifying material specifications
  • Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to support project needs
  • Help maintain strong working relationships across project stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of real-world experience in construction (mechanical preferred, but open)
  • Strong interest in building a long-term career in construction/project management
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working both in the field and in an office setting
  • Ability to work on-site and travel locally to job sites as needed
  • Trade background, field experience, or prior internship in construction

Why This Role Is a Great Fit

  • Join a stable, respected company with a strong pipeline of mechanical projects
  • Clear path for growth into a Project Manager role
  • Hands-on training and mentorship from experienced leaders
  • Blend of field experience and office-based project coordination
  • Culture focused on developing talent, rewarding effort, and long-term career growth
