Amentum is currently seeking an ambitious part-time Electrical Power Engineer Intern in the Englewood, CO office responsible for a variety of electrical engineering tasks under the general supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer. The Amentum Internship is designed to engage college students in the practical application of a technical study and to familiarize the intern with the interactions and requirements of the industry.

• Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
• Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience.
• Individuals interning in Environmental Sciences (ES&H), Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science and Management Information Systems.
• Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
• Assist in the preparation of project calculations.

Minimum Requirements

Working towards MSEE with afocus in Power and Energy Systems

• ABET accredited college or university student with a BSEE degree.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.
• Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
• Works independently and collaboratively with guidance and direction from others.
• US Citizen (dual citizenship is not allowed).

Preferred Qualifications

• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
• Previous Internship focused on Electrical Engineering.
• Working knowledge and expertise in MathCad, Python, Excel, and Word.
• Classes focused in Power System Analysis for Industrial Systems.

Compensation

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $26 - $32 (Hourly) (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
