Working within a fast-paced environment, you will combine technical expertise with project coordination, ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and working closely with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams to keep projects moving forward.

The Design Engineer will:

  • Be responsible for the design of the battery modules and packs, supporting both the design, manufacture and test of our custom battery products
  • Be designing battery modules and packs in CAD, working with multidisciplinary teams, and solving design and manufacturing issues.
  • Build prototypes, testing batteries, analysing results, and refining designs from concept through to production
  • Support the creation of batteries from concept and R&D through to manufacture and test
  • Identify and resolve project risks, issues and delivery challenges
  • Provide regular project updates and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders

The Design Engineer will have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualifications in Mechanical, automotive or similar engineering fields.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar technical role within the battery or electrification industry.
  • Good understanding of electrification systems, battery packs, creepage and clearance and high voltage systems.
  • The ability to create and read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.

  • Confidence using lab equipment, such as power supplies and electrical loads.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being at the centre of project delivery, balancing technical, operational and commercial priorities to achieve results. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you, apply online and we will be in touch!
